Whether to be a minimalist or maximalist bride is a debate every bride-to-be grapples with. Modern brides are no longer confined to one aesthetic; instead, they are embracing both minimalism and maximalism, recognising that thoughtful jewellery styling can transform an entire bridal look. In Manifest's first-ever Masterclass series, we invited designer Rimple Narula of Rimple & Harpreet to decode these contrasting styles and allow the brides-to-be to decide which look resonates most with them.
Shot at Rimple & Harpreet's majestic flagship store in New Delhi, the masterclass offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at designer Rimple Narula's approach to bridal styling. Model Maanvi Singh is dressed in an exquisite blush-pink lehenga adorned with intricate zardozi, dabka and hand embroidery, paired with a scalloped-hem dupatta. The minimalist and maximalist bridal looks are elevated with jewellery from Rah Jewels, Rimple Narula's passion project, showcasing how thoughtful styling can transform the same bridal ensemble into two distinct aesthetics.
To create a minimalist bridal look, she styles the deep-neckline blouse with a statement choker, a pair of jhumkas, a nath, and a maang tikka, proving that a few thoughtfully chosen pieces can make a striking impact. For the second look, however, the designer embraces her signature maximalist aesthetic, layering the choker with a satlada necklace and completing the ensemble with an ornate matha patti, haathphool, stacked bangles, and statement rings, resulting in a richly adorned bridal look.
