Television’s most awaited annual awards night returned in all its glory and left us with plenty of standout celebrity moments to talk about. From Macaulay Culkin, Dan Levy, and Annie Murphy’s heartfelt tribute to Catherine O’Hara to Jean Smart making history by becoming the first woman to win an Emmy for every single season of a show, the 78th Emmy Awards had plenty to gush over. The awards night, which took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, had a lot to offer for fashion lovers as well. And while we loved the sleek glittering gowns and the voluminous dresses, the men in particular delivered some great looks. Here are our top picks for the best dressed men of the night.
Our forever favourite, Dan Levy showed up in a beautiful, black double-breasted tuxedo from Celine, with a peak lapel, paired with a crisp white shirt and a sleek black tie. We are particularly loving the easy silhouette of the trousers. And the trouser break? Chef’s kiss! Our favourite part however? The black rose on the jacket! The Schitt’s Creek star revealed that he wore the rose as a homage to his late co-star Catherine O'Hara, who played his mother on the show. BRB, crying.
Speaking of favourites, Adam Brody was also in attendance. The Nobody Wants This actor chose to wear a navy blue, double-breasted custom Prada suit, paired with a light blue shirt. He ditched the classic solid tie for a floral satin scarf-like tie. Everybody wants this!
Leaning into the classic territory, Paul Anthony Kelly wore a traditional custom tux from Louis Vuitton. He paired it with a white shirt, black bow tie, a Vacheron Constantin watch, matching dress shoes, and a white pocket square in the presidential fold. There’s a reason why classics always work.
Taking a sharp turn from all-things-classic, next on the list is Colman Domingo. Domingo further reiterates his penchant for unconventional sartorial choices in a custom Valentino look. The actor wore a muted terracotta jacket with a neon pink shirt, ivory pants, ivory boots, and a magenta scarf tied around his waist, paired with an Omega watch. Our favourite part though? That miniature bow tie!
While we love a monotone tuxedo, it would be remiss not to mention Noah Wyle’s stunning Brunello Cucinelli suit. The custom beige single-breasted tuxedo jacket, paired with black pleated pants looks absolutely beautiful.
