Dove Cameron is officially married, and for her wedding look, the actor and singer traded the traditional white wedding dress for something that felt decidedly more her.
Cameron married Måneskin frontman Damiano David on September 24 at the Palazzo dei Priori in Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy. For the intimate civil ceremony, the couple arrived together in coordinating suits, making quite the case for couple dressing on your wedding day.
Cameron chose a loose-fitting white suit worn over a cream shirt, with a matching belt and tie defining the waist. The standout detail, however, was a sweeping one-shoulder cape that fell behind her like a modern alternative to a traditional bridal veil. She carried a simple bouquet of white calla lilies and wore her long dark hair down, keeping the rest of the look simple.
David complemented her in a cream double-breasted suit, worn without a shirt. The two looks were coordinated without being identical, landing somewhere between classic wedding whites and the couple’s own slightly subversive approach to fashion.
What makes Cameron’s choice more interesting is that she had already spoken about the complicated question of what she wanted to wear to her wedding.
In an interview earlier this year in February with Allure, Cameron, who publicly came out as queer in 2020, spoke about wanting her bridal look to reflect both the masculine and feminine sides of her identity.
“I’m going to have to figure out a way to design a dress that feels inclusive of the fullness of who I am,” she said in the interview, adding that she felt “split down the middle energetically between a masculine-feminine energy.”
Seven months later, her wedding look appears to have found that middle ground. There is the structure and androgyny of a suit, but also the drama of the cape, the cinched waist, white flowers and an unmistakably bridal palette.
The look also offers an easy reference point for brides who do not see themselves in a conventional gown. A suit does not necessarily have to mean minimalist or strictly masculine dressing. Cameron’s version borrows familiar bridal codes and simply translates them into tailoring.
For the unversed, Cameron and David first met backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2023 and made their red-carpet debut as a couple in February 2024. They announced their engagement in January 2026 before choosing David’s home country of Italy for their wedding.
