We’ve already had our first Mercury retrograde (from January 14 – February 4), and Mars retrograde (which began on December 6, 2024 and continued until mid-February 2025). And now, we’ve entered a Venus retrograde, which started on the first of March and will last till the 6th of April.

This time around planet Venus is all set to spin back, first, into the sign of Aries, and then into the sign of Pisces. There will be themes of having to prioritise yourself like an Aries and then being forced to have a reality check around your existence and identity in relationships.

Along with the Venus retrograde, we’re all set to experience the year’s first lunar eclipse, also known as the Blood Moon. So, as you can see, the astrological realms have a lot in store for us. It seems the Universe has decided on some heavy character development for us all, so we should probably be aware of how to navigate these crazy times. Especially if one such retrograde could impact our romantic relationships.

What Does Venus Retrograde In March 2025 Have In Store For Us?

You may be pushed to prioritise yourself because of the planet’s retrograde into the sign of Aries. Aries are known to be great leaders, not only for others but for their own lives. They know how to take charge of their lives and own their time. So, you’re being called to prioritise self-care and self-love.

“Venus is the planet of love and beauty, and so it’s also about one’s image. This time around, your personal image may also take a hit, so it’s important to prioritise self-care and self-worth. Do not depend on your outer appearance for self-esteem; try to turn inwards and focus on your inner self more. This Venus Retrograde, pay attention to how you can make yourself feel good on the inside and outside, pour into yourself,” says Spiritual Coach and Crystal Therapist Zohra Shakti.

Along with this, it’s a good time to be observant of people from the past coming back around. It may not be as bad as you think! “This is a great time to evaluate the people you are reconnecting with. It’s important to be cautious and deny a person’s attempts to connect if it does not feel healthy. Don’t ignore the red flags; do not romanticise something that is unhealthy. But at the same time, be open to having a safe dialogue with those who are coming back around,” says Zohra.

She also mentions it's important to take note of a relationship that may be ending as we have an eclipse happening this month, and it may just be a sign to exit the relationship.  According to Zohra, Venus symbolises the Divine Feminine aspect within us all, so it’s also a good time to connect with and show love to the women around us.

How Can We Take Better Care Of Ourselves Through Planet Love’s Retrograde

Seeing as the theme of this Venus retrograde is self-care and self-esteem oriented, it may be a good idea to explore beauty rituals and the healing energies of certain crystals.

“Try to look at beauty as an inside-out mindset. Find beauty rituals that make you feel good from the inside and give you a self-worth and self-confidence boost. Experiment with homemade face packs, certain (positive) affirmations, use crystals such as rose quartz, Rhodochrosite, which activate and heal the heart chakra,” Zohra tells us.

She also reminds us that this is a good time to do some shadow work: “Dig deeper into your subconscious, assess everything you believe and replace it with positive programming, especially when it comes to self-worth and self-love.”

So in totality, love yourself, and find time to practice beauty rituals that make you feel good from inside-out. Don’t shy away from reconnecting with someone you feel you should, but at the same time, know when to say goodbye. And find the time to pour into your relationships with women!

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.
