The world of online dating remains as complex as ever. This year, we saw fun dating theories and trends prop up (hello, pebbling!) and some that we hope to leave behind in 2024. Dating apps on their own can be a daunting process. There’s too much to consider when it comes to getting started and we’re not just talking about selecting the right app to download.

There’s building a profile with the right picture and bio that strikes the balance between mysterious and approachable. Navigating this wide and complicated world can be tough but for some zodiac signs, it’s a cakewalk. At least according to Tinder’s annual Year in Swipe 2024 report.

The report uncovered some surprising analyses of how people dated this year and presented a forecast of what we can expect in the modern dating landscape in 2025. According to Tinder, people were more drawn to endearing and warm vibes than the mysterious and silent ones. Users also spent more time vetting potential matches for trustworthiness, shared values and interests, and emotional availability this year. A survey of the single users on the app also revealed that going forward, people are going to have a no-nonsense approach to dating and have a clear list of traits that are a priority for them while swiping left or right.

Zodiac Signs That Were Popular On Tinder In 2024

The report claimed that astrology was a significant factor for many while looking for love on the Internet. 40% of singles surveyed shared that they took astrological love predictions or horoscopes to heart and relied on a person’s zodiac sign to determine compatibility. It also tallied up the likes and ‘Right Swipes’ from 2024 and revealed the zodiac signs that had the best luck in the year.

For men, the top five most popular zodiac signs this year were Gemini, Taurus, Virgo, Pisces and Leo. On the other hand, the top five signs that received most of the love from women on the app were Virgo, Leo, Gemini, Scorpio and Taurus. The top zodiac signs that cleaned up on the app, across the board, were Leo, Cancer, Taurus, Virgo and Gemini.

This aligns with the report’s findings of what people were most drawn to in 2024. Leo’s natural magnetism, Taurean’s grounded and sensual nature, Gemini’s adaptability, and Virgo’s carefully curated profiles managed to come out on top of the dating pool this year.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
