2025, so far, has been a cosmic rollercoaster. After the multiple retrogrades and the advent of eclipse season, dreamy and mysterious Neptune has made its way into Aries. While planetary movements in zodiac signs are common, this one is especially significant as it’s happening after 165 years.

The last time Neptune was in Aries was in 1861, and it will stay in the zodiac sign till 2039. Since it’s the second-farthest planet from the sun in our solar system, it takes about 164 years for the planet to complete an orbit. It spends 14 years in each sign.

Neptune is considered to be the planet of idealism, intuition, dreams, and artistic breakthroughs. However, it’s also associated with delusion, deception and a loss of clarity. The planet’s current position can signal a crucial cosmic reset.

What Does Neptune In Aries Mean?

Neptune entered Aries after nearly one and a half centuries on March 30, after spending 14 years stationed in the sign of Pisces. Since the water sign’s ruling planet is Neptune, this was a period of being guided into connecting with your intuition and embracing the gifts bestowed by the Universe. Where Pisces was soft, intuitive and reflective, Aries’ bold and vibrant energy is more direct and impulsive.

The planet’s position in Aries means that we’re entering into a period of radical reinvention, and it’s the perfect time to take a close, hard look at what you want your life to look like as you move forward. What calls to you? What’s serving you well? What’s holding you back from acting on your desires?

After its stint in Pisces, the planet has introduced ideas and philosophies of the kind of world we’d like to inhabit in our future. Now is the time to act on these thoughts and make them a reality. The focus is on taking actions and a collective reimaging of our identity. Be warned, however, that this can also result in overzealousness and missteps, even burnout.

Our actions cannot be without a solid foundation, so holding a tight rein on impulsiveness is important.

Who Will Be Impacted By Neptune In Aries?

The once-in-a-lifetime cosmic event will affect everyone. It’s going to mark a shift for the collective and its impact will be felt over a decade. Historically, Neptune in Aries has brought about significant cultural shifts and scientific discoveries, like the American Civil War and the abolishment of slavery and even the pasteurisation of milk.

We’re living through times that are getting increasingly more volatile on all fronts, be it societally, environmentally or economically. Neptune’s shift into Aries can be the start of a new system and a challenge to the status quo.
