  • Friends travelling together

We all have our travel personalities. While some want to pack their itinerary with activities on a vacation, some would prefer to laze by the pool with a colourful drink in hand and a cheesy romance book to peruse. Neither are wrong in their pursuits but it could spell disaster if the two decide to plan a vacation together.

Like relationship compatibility and your ideal wedding colour palette, your zodiac sign can tell a great deal about your travel personality too. It can also point you towards your ideal vacation buddies and, more importantly, the zodiac signs you should avoid while thinking of planning a holiday. It can also help you overcome any potential conflicts you might have with your partner of an opposite travel personality while planning your honeymoon.

Zodiac Signs That Should Not Travel Together

Take a look at our quick cosmic guide to the zodiac sign pairings that make for the worst travel companions with each other…

    Aries and Cancer

Fiery Aries is adventurous and spontaneous by nature and loves to take risks, while Cancer is more security-oriented and prefers comfort and familiarity. Aries might find Cancer too cautious, while Cancer might feel overwhelmed by Aries' impulsive nature. Not an ideal match!

    Taurus and Sagittarius

Ruled by the planet Venus, Taurus loves to indulge in luxury when travelling. They value stability and place comfort above everything. Sagittarius, on the other hand, is a free spirit who loves adventure, and exploration, and may find Taurus' approach too rigid or boring.

    Gemini and Capricorn

Social butterfly Gemini thrives on variety, spontaneity, and intellectual stimulation, while sturdy Capricorn prefers structure, planning, and a more methodical approach to travel. Gemini might find Capricorn too serious, while Capricorn might see Gemini as unreliable or scattered. Throw them together and you’ve got the recipe for vacation mayhem.

    Leo and Scorpio

While Leo loves to be the centre of attention and prefers a lavish, dramatic travel experience, Scorpio is more intense, and private, and often prefers deep, meaningful experiences. Leo’s need for socialising may clash with Scorpio’s preference for intimacy and solitude and cause friction.

    Virgo and Aquarius

Everyone knows that Virgos are the best planners out of all zodiac signs, Their detail-oriented and practical nature ensures that. Aquarius is unconventional, and innovative, and often seeks unique or off-the-beaten-path experiences. Virgo may see Aquarius as too unpredictable, while Aquarius might find Virgo’s meticulous planning stifling.

    Libra and Pisces

Libra seeks balance, and harmony, and enjoys socialising and cultural experiences while on vacation. On the flip side, Pisces is more dreamy, and intuitive, and may prefer a more relaxed, go-with-the-flow approach. Libra might find Pisces too indecisive, while Pisces might feel pressured by Libra’s need for social interaction.

    Scorpio and Aries

While on paper, a Scorpio and Aries should get along like a house on fire, the reality is much different. Both Scorpio and Aries are passionate and determined signs, but they can also be quite stubborn and intense. This could lead to power struggles or conflicts during travel, as both may want to assert their preferences and control over the itinerary.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
