Over the decades, the Italian maestro has dressed a constellation of stars, including some of the biggest names in Bollywood like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, Priyanka Chopra at Bulgari’s 140th celebration, Sonam Kapoor at the Milan Fashion Week in 2018, Alia Bhatt at Cannes 2025, while Bollywood’s Bebo has graced several occasions in an Armani ensemble. However, besides these A-listers, the Italian designer has also shaped the wardrobes of several Celebrity weddings.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ Wedding

One of the most prominent examples of Giorgio Armani’s wedding wardrobe is the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes wedding in 2006, where the couple wore custom-tailored Armani outfits throughout the entire wedding. Holmes had worn an off-shoulder ivory silk gown embroidered with Valencies and Swarovski crystals, while Cruise had worn a handmade Armani tuxedo. But that was not it, even the bouquet for the bride and her champagne reception gown was designed by the house.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s Wedding

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin, who got married in Venice in 2014, also featured an Armani wardrobe, as confirmed by the Italian maestro himself, that George Clooney was wearing a sleek Armani tux, which he later wore to the Golden Globes as well.

    Royal Monaco 2011

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II’s Royal wedding in 2011 was also a Giorgio Armani wedding as Charlene’s religious-ceremony gown was part of a bespoke Armani collection. The gown was an engineering feat of duchesse silk and organza that was embellished with crystals, pearls and stones, putting Armani’s atelier’s couture precision on show.

Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt’s Wedding

The American author who got married on June 8, 2019, walked down the aisle in a custom Armani Prive white crinoline lace bustier column gown while her husband, Chris Pratt, wore a Giorgio Armani made-to-measure navy wool suit with a matching vest. The designer had confirmed, in a press release, that the couple’s wedding wardrobe was a bespoke Armani collection.

An architect of modern style, Giorgio Armani’s bridal language favours detailing in the form of clean lines, fluid drapes and discreet ornamentation. Armani’s gowns and wedding ensembles were not just fashion statements but timeless art pieces crafted with softness and precision.

His signature minimalist opulence has long graced some of the most glamorous moments ever seen. The quiet luxury that Armani’s creations brought to the red carpets translated to wedding ensembles in the most seamless and elegant manner. With his masterpieces, Giorgio Armani had built more than just a brand. He shaped a vision that spoke the language of elegance.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
