Ananya Panday Brings Together The Best Of Both Worlds By Pairing A Paithani Sari With A Bandeau Blouse

Ananya Panday is slowly gaining the IT Girl status in Bollywood, thanks to her sartorial choices that span a plethora of different aesthetics. From the soft, coquette-core aesthetic, to the earthy boho-chic aesthetic, she can ace it all. It is perhaps this penchant of hers to constantly push boundaries when it comes to her personal style that makes her someone who dictates fashion trends quite often. And this time, we anticipate the trend to be bandeau blouses. 

For a recent appearance, she wore a beautiful handwoven Paithani Manish Malhotra sari in a vibrant shade of blue. The sari had flora and fauna motifs on it, with the pallu of the sari covered in flowers and peacocks. She styled the look with dewy make-up, sleek middle-parted updo adorned with flowers, a tiny bindi, traditional gold jewellery including a necklace, stacked chunky bangles, and a couple of rings. What caught our eye however, was the blouse. 

She paired the sari with a stunning black bandeau blouse. Risqué blouses seem to be the flavour of the season. From barely-there underwire bralettes to tiny halter-neck blouses, we are loving all kinds of micro-blouses right now. While risqué blouses, in general, are having a moment, our favourite kind is the bandeau blouse. Not to forget, they’re super on trend currently. If the recent celebrity appearances and the looks seen at the India Couture Week is anything to go by, risqué blouses are not going anywhere, any time soon. At the India Couture Week 2026, bandeau blouses were seen across multiple collections, from Arpita Mehta to House of Masaba. And this look on Ananya Panday further solidifies the reign of the bandeau blouses.
