  • Shraddha Kapoor in red for 'Stree 2'

The hugely successful horror-comedy Stree 2 might have given us an entertaining way to spend the weekend but it also gave us Shraddha Kapoor’s version of the Lady in Red. The actress and her style team hopped on the method dressing hype train and channelled her character’s mysterious red energy in stunning outfits in the alluring hue.

While reds are a no-brainer for weddings, for brides or baraatis, it has been overtaken by pastels and other jewel tones over the past few years. The fiery hue is making its big comeback to wedding season colour palettes, as evidenced by the collections showcased on the runway at the Hyundai India Couture Week this year.

Shraddha Kapoor’s red run these past few weeks is just in time to inspire us to dig out the reds from our wardrobes (or invest in some fresh-off-the-runway looks), and stand out in style this wedding season.

Here are a few of our favourite recent red looks by the actress, be ready to take notes!

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
