Rahul Mishra’s clothes have been spotted on red carpets from Mumbai to LA, be it Zendaya at the opening of the NMACC or Blackpink’s Lisa opting for the couturier’s creation at the 2025 Oscars. The designer’s innovative use of embroidery and 3d surface embellishments has made him a top favourite amongst the style ‘It’ girls around the world.

Chinese actress Rosy Zhao, also known as Zhao Lusi, got added to the club when she wore a Rahul Mishra fresh-off-the-runway creation for an appearance recently. The Hidden Love actress wore a shimmering gold halter-neck dress, titled ‘Surreal Space’, from the designer’s Spring 2025 couture collection.

According to the designer, the outfit took over 1600 hours to create at his atelier. The surface is adorned with resham thread embroidery, glass bugle beads, freshwater pearls, zardozi, naqshi and dabka work.

This is not the first time a Rahul Mishra creation has been worn by a popular Chinese celebrity. The designer is a regular fixture on the covers of Chinese fashion magazines and has worked in close collaboration with stylists from the country to dress the biggest names in China.

Later, in March 2025, legendary Chinese actor Fan Bing Bing wore Rahul Mishra at The Festival du Film Berlin. She looked stunning in an embroidered multi-layered off-shoulder gown from the designer’s Spring 2025 collection, ‘The Pale Blue Dot’.

Back in 2023, C-pop idol, dancer and model Liu Yu wore a Rahul Mishra ensemble for the music video for his song ‘Mo’. The singer cut a fine figure in the La Lune hand-embroidered crop top and sequinned pants set from the designer’s Fall 2023 collection, ‘We The People’.
