Dimple Kapadia’s style is the epitome of effortlessness and timelessness. It offers the perfect balance between evolving with the times and staying true to her aesthetic. For a recent appearance, she was seen wearing a beautiful Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla outfit, that was just as exquisite as it was fuss-free. It was traditional, classic, and offered the perfect mother-of-the bride style inspiration.

The outfit had a black floor-length chamois coat, which was covered in hand-embroidered Bandhani. It also featured multi-colour Resham hand embroidery, along with zardozi. The coat was worn over a quilted waistcoat and a sarong skirt in the same colour. The quilting on the waistcoat looked very intricate and meticulously done, and makes a strong case for quilted occasionwear.

Power Shoulders, But Make It Comfy

While the surface ornamentation on the look is stunning, we’re particularly loving how effortless and chic the silhouette is. The sarong skirt, paired with a waistcoat feels cool and contemporary, and the long jacket with power shoulders adds a touch of gravitas to the look. Sure, it’s stylish, but it also looks incredibly easy and comfortable.

The actor styled the look with AJSK jewellery, with the most prominent piece being her oversized ‘Talismati’ eye pendant necklace, featuring rubies and pavé set diamonds. The pendant, which is crafted in gold, is an interpretation of Shiva’s third-eye. She paired it with chunky bangles and ‘Taweez’ inspired hoop earrings from the same brand, and completed the look with an oversized embroidered clutch.

Muted Makeup To Complete The Look

Dimple kept her hair and makeup minimal. She went for a muted make-up look with light eyeshadow, nude lips, and barely-there blush. For the hair, she opted for a bouncy, voluminous blow-dried hair, worn in a side parting.

Overall, the outfit looks easy, bohemian, and very earthy. Mothers-of-the-bride, if you like to keep it easy and fuss-free while referencing rich Indian crafts and techniques, we suggest recreating this look for a cocktail night!
