After a very intimate civil wedding ceremony in London, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner went on to host a Dolce Vita-esque Italian wedding weekend in Sicily. The couple kicked off the three-day celebration in impeccable style. Callum chose to wear a beautiful relaxed beige suit by Louis Vuitton. While Dua took a sharp turn from the elegant and demure aesthetic of her bridal suit look, and channeled her party bride aesthetic this time in a feathered backless dress. Being the unconventional bride that she is proving to be, she wore—wait for it—a leather dress! Her custom ivory, halter-neck Bottega Veneta dress featured the house’s signature intrecciato leather weave. She accessorised the look with a matching Bottega Veneta Andiamo clutch with feathers.

As if her dress wasn’t impressive enough, Dua really outdid herself with the jewellery. Being the global brand ambassador for Bvlgari, she wore some exquisite jewels from the brand, like the beautiful Bvlgari High Jewelry Serpenti necklace with diamonds and onyx set around a pear-shaped amethyst.

What really stood out though, is what she wore on her wrists. She chose to wear not one, but two watches. On one wrist, she wore the Bvlgari Tubogas Manchette Watch, which is a reinterpretation of an archival model. The watch has a tiny dial set on a wide band that coils around the wrist, and features diamonds and different gemstones like citrines, rubellites, amethysts, and tourmalines.

On the other wrist, she wore the Bvlgari Serpenti Pallini High Jewelry Watch, a stunning coil watch that has the dial concealed within the serpent's head. We love all secret watches, and Dua wearing the Serpenti Pallini watch further solidifies our love for hidden dials!

She’s Not The First To Try It

While there are lots of notes to take from this look—leather wedding dress, feathers, coloured gemstones—our favourite takeaway from the look is wearing two watches. We love how she has taken a very unconventional trend, and worn it in a way that feels traditional, since one of the watches looks like a bracelet! From Princess Diana to Kylie Jenner, we have seen celebrities wear two watches together in the past, whether stacked on one wrist or on different wrists. However, this might be one of those very rare occasions where a bride was seen sporting a trend as niche as this. Wearing two watches is an acquired taste. Not everyone embraces a trend so unconventional, least of all as a bride, when most women like to channel timelessness, and opt for choices that will age well. However, we can’t help but love Dua’s choice of wearing the two watches together, and we can feel that future brides will get inspired to pair watches together.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
