It’s Raining Exquisite Jewels Across Rihanna’s Looks For The Fenty Beauty India Launch
Indian jewellery brands FTW!
Fenty Beauty just launched in India with Tira Beauty and Sephora. And while this is great news for all the beauty girls, there’s something in it for the fashion girls as well.
Rihanna's much talked about Mumbai visit for the launch of Fenty Beauty in India gave us two beautiful looks on her. While she might not have worn Indian couture, it was raining exquisite jewels from Indian brands. Here is all the jewellery that she wore across her looks.
Her first look was a monochrome chartreuse Mugler outfit with a draped top and a flared skirt, which she styled with poker straight hair and a bold red lip. Her homage to the Indian craft came in the form of jewellery. On one hand, she wore a diamond haathphool from Manish Malhotra High Jewellery, with floral motifs all over it.
On the other hand, she stacked bangles with two cocktail rings from Sabyasachi Jewellery. The jewels, crafted in gold, had various gemstones like emeralds, rubies, spinels, garnets, sapphires, and tourmalines among others.
While a lot of people come from the school of thought that silver and gold should not be mixed, Rihanna proved that there are no rules when it comes to fashion. Take a cue from Rihanna and hop on the bandwagon of mixing contemporary diamond jewellery with traditional gold jewellery. Or for that matter, any kind of jewellery that doesn’t conventionally go together.
For the second look, she wore another monochrome outfit—a black Alaïa dress with a croc skin texture. She paired it with matching strappy heels and jewels from Indian brands—a couple of rings and an earcuff from Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas, along with a haathphool from (again) Manish Malhotra High Jewellery.
While we would have loved to see her in Indian couture for her visit to India, we loved to see some Indian jewels getting global recognition.
