Indian designers and brands are shining bright like a diamond, whether it’s on iconic runways or red carpets. We can only assume that Rihanna had a blast during her time performing for the Ambanis and their guests at Anant and Radhika Merchant’s pre-pre-pre wedding bash in Jamnagar that she decided to add, not one but, two homegrown designers to her jewellery collection.

Rihanna was recently spotted at the launch of her new haircare line Fenty Hair in Los Angeles. The popstar-in-quasi-retirement wore a custom crimson leather set by Khaite to the event but what caught our eye was her choice of jewellery to complement her outfit. The Fenty Beauty founder went with a Manish Malhotra choker and a Sabyasachi necklace to complete her look.

The Ruby Choker by Manish Malhotra was crafted in 18k gold and had custom-cut rubies encrusted in diamonds. This was paired with a three-drop rubellite, tourmaline and brilliant cut diamond necklace by Sabyasachi.

Aside from giving us a moment to appreciate Indian craftsmanship making a mark on the global scene, Rihanna’s recent outing can also be a cue to have fun with your jewellery collection and go big. Don’t hesitate to mix and match pieces and embrace the maximalist in you openly, whether it’s a sangeet ceremony or a trip down to the grocery store to fetch eggs. Ask yourself: What would Rihanna do?

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.

The fact that it comes with band, baaja and baraat — what's not to love? And that is the reason our first issue celebrates:
    THE NEW BRIDE.
