Mom-to-Be Sonam Kapoor Hosts an Intimate, Flower-Filled Baby Shower With Family and Friends
Sonam Kapoor celebrated motherhood once again with a heartfelt baby shower attended by loved ones and Bollywood’s inner circle.
It is celebration time for mom-to-be Sonam Kapoor as she prepares to welcome her second child with husband Anand Ahuja. To mark this new beginning, the actor hosted an intimate baby shower that was equal parts star-studded at her residence on February 8. The celebration, a reflection of traditions, was attended by the couple’s close friends, family members and several of the big names from the film industry, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anshula Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Shabana Azmi, Maheep Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and several others.
Images from Sonam Kapoor's baby shower started to appear on social media shortly after the party, giving the actor’s fans a sneak peek into the joyous occasion. Several of the attendees posted photos from the ceremony on Monday, which soon garnered widespread attention. The pictures captured sweet moments from the celebration. One of the images showed Sonam glowing and boldly flaunting her baby bump in a lime green lehenga choli.
The soon-to-be mother completed her ensemble with a sleek bun and heavy jewellery. Another picture captured Anand Ahuja looking lovingly at Sonam as they sat together for puja. A gorgeous floral arrangement with tall white blooms and purple flowers on a wooden table was seen in one of the photos. The decor of the evening leaned heavily on fresh flowers, as purple blooms and birds-of-paradise installations hung from the ceiling, creating a dreamy ambience that mirrored a garden-like atmosphere indoors.
The images were quick to go viral as several celebrities dropped their heartfelt congratulations. Anupam Kher had also shared a picture with Sonam, captioning it, “Happy #Godbharai dearest @sonamkapoor! Love and Blessings!”
Sonam and Anand first met when she was promoting her movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015 and had tied the knot in a grand ceremony in 2018. The couple had welcomed their son, Vayu, in 2022. Sonam had announced her second pregnancy in November 2025 when she shared her pictures flaunting her baby bump in a pink outfit inspired by Princess Diana. The post was captioned, “Mother.”
