Prajakta Koli’s Anita Dongre Bridal Lehenga Featured The Sweetest Detail
The bride wore a custom Anita Dongre lehenga set with hand-painted motifs…
Congratulations are in order for Prajakta Koli, AKA MostlySane, and her longtime boyfriend Vrishank Khanal. After a multi-day celebration, the couple finally tied the knot in an intimate, nature-inspired ceremony in Karjat, Maharashtra.
On the wedding day, Prajakta and Vrishank chose to wear custom Anita Dongre ensembles. The bride wore a cream-coloured Pichwai lehenga by the designer, while the groom complemented her in an ivory hand-embroidered silk sherwani. The bride kept her hair down and chose to accessorise the look with a veil and statement jewellery by Anita Dongre.
While the outfits looked stunning against the verdant natural landscape that dominated the wedding venue, a little detail in the bride’s outfit made it all the more special.
The Anita Dongre lehenga worn by Prajakta featured hand-painted parijat flowers (also known as night-blooming jasmines) by artisans from Jaipur. The bride’s name ‘Prajakta’ means parijat flowers, making this a beautiful ode to her.
In a video shared on Instagram, Prajakta spoke about seeing her wedding lehenga for the first time, claiming that it gave her goosebumps!
Parijat flowers are also considered auspicious in Hindu culture. They are said to represent joy, celebration, love and unity, making them the perfect flower for a wedding.
