Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla established themselves as a label to look out for with their pioneering work with crushed silk in their early collections. This revival of their debut collection is not only proof of their timelessness in the Indian fashion landscape but also that crushed silk is here to stay.
The technique has been popular in South Asian regions for hundreds of years, with some similarities observed with the shibori dying technique of Japan that results in a crushed effect.
