When it comes to fashion, Triptii Dimri is a shape-shifter. If you’re one of her 6.1 million followers (or any person in the country with a working Internet connection), then there’s a good chance you’ve come across the actress looking stunning in couture from some of the top labels in India. Triptii is as comfortable pulling off a set of earth-toned Dhruv Kapoor separates as she is playing muse to Gaurav Gupta for his bridal lehengas.

Ever since Triptii made her onscreen debut in 2017, the actress has slowly and steadily made a mark for herself as a performer to look out for. Her role in the divisive Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal solidified her mainstream appeal, and there has been no looking back for her since then.

Her off-duty style is all things easy, breezy, beautiful. When she’s not delivering performances onstage or making red carpet appearances, Triptii is packing her bags and setting off for a new adventure. The actress’ love for travelling lends to the aforementioned ‘easy, breezy, beautiful’ style that could serve as inspiration for anyone looking to look gorgeous on their Summer getaway.

In Conversation With Triptii Dimri

Manifest: How would you describe your personal style, especially during the summer months?
Triptii Dimri: In the Summer, I gravitate toward things that feel easy yet elevated. I love flowing silhouettes, soft fabrics, and a touch of romance, like the dresses that move with you, delicate prints, and pieces that make you feel like you're on holiday, even when you’re not.

M: What pieces from the SS’25 collection ‘The Summer Odyssey’ are going to make it into your travel wardrobe this season?
TD: The Limone Floral maxi is definitely a favourite—it’s breezy, bright, and transports you straight to the Amalfi coast. I also love the Tropea Postcard co-ord set—it’s playful but polished, perfect for sightseeing or a beachside lunch. And the linen separates in soft pastels? Absolute staples!

M: What are some of your earliest memories of fashion?
TD: As a child, I was always fascinated by the way my mother dressed. She had this understated elegance, saris with minimal jewellery or fresh cotton kurtas in the summer. I think that really shaped my love for classic, graceful dressing.

M: What are your go-to Summer wardrobe staples—pieces you can’t live without?
TD: A well-fitted white dress, wide-leg linen trousers, strappy sandals, oversized sunglasses, and a soft scarf that I can double as a cover-up. Those five things can take you through almost any Summer plan.

M: Do you have a favourite vacation spot that inspires your summer style?
TD: Italy holds a special place in my heart. The colours, textures, and mood of places like Capri or the Amalfi Coast always inspire a lighter, more playful version of my style. Think sun-kissed skin, floral dresses, and lots of gold jewellery. I love living in a little rom-com movie of my own.

M: When you’re packing for a tropical holiday, what are the five things you always include in your suitcase?
TD: There is no correct answer to it, considering things I carry change every day with the number of bags I keep. However, if we spoke about something I can absolutely not step out without, it would be: A statement maxi dress (always!), a big sun hat, my skincare pouch (sunscreen is a must!), a linen co-ord for day-to-night ease, and a journal because travel sparks so many thoughts and feelings and I love putting my thoughts to words.

M: How do you strike a balance between comfort and glamour when dressing for a summer getaway?
TD: I think glamour lies in ease and comfort. When you feel good and free in what you're wearing, it shows. For me, it's about soft fabrics, breathable silhouettes, and adding that little extra, whether it’s a rosette detail or a bold neckline.

M: Are there any beauty or skincare essentials you swear by while travelling in hot, humid weather?
TD: Absolutely. Hydration is everything. I never travel without a hydrating mist, a lightweight sunscreen, and a good lip balm. A multipurpose tint is great too. It works on cheeks, lips, and even eyelids for that dewy, sunlit look.

M: How do you accessorise differently in the summer?
TD: I keep things minimal and playful—layered gold chains, statement earrings, and fun hair accessories. A pair of classic sunglasses and a cute woven bag go with everything.

M: What fashion advice would you give to someone curating their summer travel wardrobe this year?
TD: Think comfort first, but don’t shy away from a few standout pieces. Invest in breathable fabrics like linen or cotton, and pick items you can mix and match. A good dress, a neutral co-ord, and a pop of print can take you far.

M: What are some style hacks that you've learned on the job that have been lifesavers during travelling?
TD: Steamers are your best friend—seriously. Also, roll clothes instead of folding to save space and avoid creases. And carry a small sewing kit. You never know when a button might pop!
