At this year’s Grammys, Tyla didn’t just walk the red carpet; she embodied soft power in fashion.

Her choice was a DSquared2 sheer gown in a whisper-soft nude tone, a silhouette that skimmed the body and shimmered gently under the lights. In an arena where spectacle often leans toward the bold and maximal, Tyla’s look was quiet authority, equal parts elegant, understated, and confidently restrained.

What set the gown apart was the luminous, feathered train, which was poised in motion without ever feeling heavy. It added an element of fluidity and softness, aligning with the tonal calm of the overall design. The delicate neckline enhanced the gown’s ethereal quality, keeping the look light and effortlessly feminine.

Tyla’s styling amplified that sense of refined ease. Loose, side-swept waves framed her face organically, offering a timeless counterpoint to the modernity of the sheer fabric. Her makeup followed suit: clean, glowing skin, warm tones on the eyes, and a subtle lip that perfectly harmonised with the muted palette of the dress.

In keeping with the minimalist energy of the ensemble, her accessories were quiet but polished. She wore a simple choker-style necklace, and understated earrings provided the right amount of shine without pulling focus from the gown’s whispery poetry.

And while her fashion was a lesson in poise and subtlety, her night was also a moment of professional triumph: Tyla won her second Grammy, taking home the award for Best African Music Performance for “Push-to-Start”.

In a career full of momentum, this red-carpet moment served as a reminder that power can be soft, luminous, and gracefully worn.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.
