Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. That's how the Victorian-era rhyme goes. The one that talks about the four items a bride must carry on the day of her wedding, for good luck. The old wedding tradition of brides carrying each of these items on their wedding day was recently reinterpreted by Zendaya for the promotional looks for her movie "The Drama".

While Zendaya (who is practically the flag-bearer of method dressing) rarely steps out in a look that doesn't have something say, she threw it out of the park this time by playing out the wedding tradition and rhyme across the promotional looks her movie. Zendaya might not have confirmed or denied her wedding rumours with Tom Holland, but we see what she's doing here!

Here are all the looks Zendaya wore as part of the bridal rhyme, ICYMI.

Zendaya's Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue For The Promotional Looks Of Her Movie "The Drama"

Something Old

Zendaya's "Something Old" came in the form of this beautiful off-shoulder ivory wedding dress by Vivienne Westwood, which she styled with an elegant updo, dewy makeup, and chandelier earrings from Chopard. She wore the same dress for the Oscars back in 2015, which she styled with dreadlocks, a statement handcuff, dainty earrings, and a champagne minaudière. We love to see an archival look back on the red carpet, most of all when when it's part of a bigger narrative!

Something New

Zendaya's "Something New" was this sleek, ivory Louis Vuitton column dress that she wore for the premiere of her movie "The Drama" in Paris. The dress came with a round neckline, full sleeves, and a big black bow at the back, which extended into a train. She styled the gown with David Morris jewels and an updo with Old Hollywood curls. She really did bring all "The Drama" with this look, and we're loving how it fits right into the bridal theme!

Something Borrowed

Zendaya found her "Something Borrowed" in the beautiful Armani Privé dress first worn by Cate Blanchett for the SAG Awards 2022 (which, interstingly, Cate rewore for the Venice Film Festival in 2025). The stunning black gown has a fishtail silhouette, a plunging neckline with chunky embellishments and—if it was possible for this dress to be any better—pockets! Zendaya styled the look with a wavy bob and Louis Vuitton jewels.

Something Blue

And finally, Zendaya completed the bridal poem with her "Something Blue", which was this absolutely stunning sculpted ballgown by Schiaprelli. The feathers? The blue? The corset that fits her like a glove? The elongated torso? The two-tier voluminous skirt? Consider us obsessed! She styled the look with a sleek wet bob, shimmery blue eyeshadow, and jewels from Tiffany & Co..
