Doctor-turned-designer duo unveiled their latest collection on the last day of FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week…

Who doesn’t love a good carnival? Cheerful costumes, bright coloured balloons, jugglers tossing balls in the air, elements from the circus or what we calltamashacoming to life as designer duo Rishi and Vibhuti showcased their latest collection ‘Tamasha: The Enchanted Circus’.
Their debut presentation was inspired by the vibrant energy of Indian streets and carnivals. “While creating this collection, we wanted to bring you the nostalgia of a circus or amela, filled with vibrant colours and fun’’, shares Vibhuti Dhaundiyal.

Well known for their expertise in delicate embroideries in structured lehengas, capes, bralettes, and even cargo pants–each outfit is symbolic of celebration. We saw fabrics like silk, velvet and organza in the best possible forms and silhouettes. However, one element we truly cherished on the runway was these bright, oversized hair bows styled with the sarees.

Colours like purple, orange, teals, olives and bright blues reminded us of a time when as kids we used to go out with family for outings to the circus.
Former Miss World and Bollywood actor Manushi Chillar walked the runway as the showstopper in an olive green slit skirt and a detailed floral green and pink hue blouse. Manushi revealed, “I love the tassels, embellishments and the vibrant colours of my outfit, the fact that a carnival is so much fun, makes it special for me.”
So whether you choose a structured lehenga for your bridal trousseau or a fishtail dress for your next party, Rishi and Vibhuti’s ‘Tamasha: The Enchanted Collection’ is what will entice you to make space in your wardrobe!
