The official fashion week calendar for this year kick-started with House of Glenfiddich Presents FDCI India Men's Weekend 2026. A two-day fashion extravaganza where India's finest menswear designers set the tone for the coming season. The Men's Weekend happens to be the only menswear fashion show in the country and in its fourth edition, the designs showcased were a celebration of Indian craftsmanship and modern menswear silhouettes.

    The highlights

Designer Amit Hansraj made his menswear debut inspired from indigenous craft of Bandhani. His collection followed the journey as the dot travelled, depicted through crafts like Shibori, Black printing and Lehariya. Designer Nitin Bal Chauhan took inspiration from the temple of Chhatradi. Wood carvings and miniature paintings from the temple have been translated into obscure prints. The finale showcase by Abraham & Thakore reinterpreted the traditional Indian lungi and juxtaposed the everyday garment with a formal shirt or jacket to create a look that was eclectic and deeply rooted in tradition.

The rise of jewellery in menswear

Several designers including Ashish Soni, Siddartha Tytler, Sahil Aneja and Pawan Sachdeva incorporated interesting neckpieces, earrings and headgears in their collection. Layered chains peeking through open collars, and stacked cuffs reframed jewellery as integral rather than optional. The decorated man wasn’t theatrical, he was deliberate. Styling choices added narrative depth, turning minimalist fits into conversation starters.

    Fluidity in menswear

Designers also leaned towards fluid silhouettes draped tunics, elongated hemlines, and softer fabrics that moved with ease. But the softness never felt fragile. Instead, it signalled confidence- a comfort with self-expression that doesn’t need rigid structure to validate it.

We have handpicked our 10 standout fits from Menswear Weekend. Have a dekko!

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.

The fact that it comes with band, baaja and baraat — what's not to love? And that is the reason our first issue celebrates:
    THE NEW BRIDE.
