Gaurav Gupta’s excellence cannot be missed. As a designer who’s been in the industry for well over a decade, he rose to legendary status in what seems like the blink of an eye. When asked about how the designer has remained so successful and maintained his vigour in the fashion world, the designer told Manifest's Editor-in-Chief Chaiti Narula in an episode ofThe Clique, “We are getting better and better with our collections, with our casting, with our showmanship, with our presentation, with our communication… we have a fantastic partner in Hema (Maison Bose) that does international celeb dressing and strategy with us.”
Gaurav Gupta has mastered his craft in a multi-dimensional aspect which is needed in today’s fashion landscape, and all of this work has become even more evident, with every passing year. The couturier has dressed international celebrities such as Beyoncé, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Sharon Stone, Jenna Ortega and Jeremy Pope for red-carpet events, music videos, and talk show appearances; A stark streak of the designer's trajectory as a creative powerhouse.
Furthermore, the Central Saint Martins' alumnus showcased at Paris Haute Couture Week last year, and now most recently, showcased his collection Arunodoya at the Hyundai India Couture Week 2024 in association with Reliance brands. The designer is known for the magic he creates with his sculpted and intricately structured pieces that will almost leave your jaw on the floor.
Now as the FDCI Manifest Wedding Weekend approaches, we’re equal parts thrilled and excited to witness his excellence and masterful approach at the showcase. And one thing is clear, though he keeps things classic and elegant, Gaurav Gupta designs for a person with an elevated and complex palette. "The Gaurav Gupta bride or groom is an experimental person, a thinking person. Is somebody who wants to have fun, is throwing cocktail parties, is probably having a themed cocktail party, or a themed reception, is doing a destination wedding” he says.
