Ananya Panday for AK-OK at the FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week 2025AK-OK

AK-OK by Anamika Khanna just kickstarted the FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week in classic Anamika style, and it’s safe to say, we are not (AK) OK with the sheer brilliance it had to offer. The collection, titled ‘Silver Collar’ seems to have been designed for a woman who is strong, free-spirited, and sexy.

The collection had a lot to lovethe beautiful neutral color palette with pops of electric blue thrown in, the signature Anamika Khanna abstract prints, the many reinterpretations of the classic white shirt, flowy silhouettes along with some structured blazers and corsets, the kaftans, the embellished ties and bermuda shorts, and LOTS OF METAL.

Speaking of metal, Ananya Panday closed the show in a stunning blue hybrid saree which had a chained pallu. The saree had blue, high-waisted, wide-legged pants with metallic embellishments all over them, and cut-work detailing on the sides. The blouse and pallu were made entirely out of metal, with metallic fringes hanging haphazardly from them. The flowy pants moved beautifully with her, and the outfit was as flowy as it was structured. The look was styled with huge stacks of silver bangles. For the make-up, she wore nude glossy lips and blue eyeshadow, with some highlighter, and blush on the cheeks. She kept her hair minimal with a sleek updo.

Ananya Panday turned showstopper for AK-OK's showcase at LFW 2025FDCI

Dear fashion girlies, this collection has a lot of stunning looks for wedding festivities if you have a flair for the dramatic and unconventional. However, we suggest going for this show-stopper saree for a cool cocktail look. You can keep your hair and makeup simple and style it with minimal jewellery to allow the outfit to take the center stage.

The showstopper look is, honestly, one of the best things we've seen on the runway in recent times. You can wear it anywhere—at a cocktail, sangeet, at a mehendi, at a dinner party, at an airport—well not at an airport. That would be crazy. You know, with the metal detector. But you get the idea, ri,ght?

Dear bridesmaids-to-be, if you like all things unconventional when it comes to your fashion choices, bookmark this look now.
