If you're not wearing these brooches in 2026, you might want to contemplate your life choices!

For far too long, brooches weren't given the respect that they always deserved—being perceived as 'archaic' or grandpa's accessory. But the beautiful resurgence that they've been seeing in the recent years goes to show that impeccable taste might not be so rare after all. And if the Oscar's 2026 red carpet is anything to go by, brooches aren't dying any time soon. Here are our picks for the brooch trends to embrace this season.
While we love all kinds of brooches, you know what the best kind of brooches are? Massive, over-the-top, more-is-more brooches that are basically the size of a brick! The kind of brooches that are the only thing anyone seems to be able to notice about your look, no matter how dramatic your clothes are. An oversized brooch is the easiest way to elevate a basic look without trying too hard. A lazy man's guide to dressing well, if you will!

Or, on the contrary, you can even opt for a tiny brooch. For we saw brooches from both ends of the spectrum this year at the Oscars. And no, we're not talking about the "slightly smaller brooches"; we're talking about the really tiny brooches that will have people squinting to see them! And you know what's the best part about wearing a tiny brooch? Unlike a big brooch, a tiny brooch is usually not the center of attention, so it gives you room to have fun with other accessories, like a really cool watch, or stacked rings!

You know what's better than a brooch? Many brooches! If you're anything like us and just can not have enough of brooches, we suggest wearing a cluster of brooches. Take a cue from Michael B. Jordan at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party 2026 and pair 2-3 similar brooches in different sizes, or go all out like Colman Domingo at the 2026 Golden Globes!

Traditionally, brooches are worn on the lapel, but we won't suggest confining yourself in that boring little box. Sure, you can pin a brooch to the lapel of your blazer and call it a day, but have you considered wearing it on your trousers? Or on your tie/bowtie? Or swapping your tie for a brooch? Or wearing it at the back of your jacket (like Michael B Jordan at the Oscars 2026)? You can even wear brooches on your dress shoes! The possibilities are endless. The correct way to wear a brooch is whatever you want it to be!

So, which of these brooch-bandwagons are you hopping onto this season?
