Vaishali Jain shares all the fashion trends at the Paris Fashion Week that you must consider if you're walking down the aisle soon

This year, Paris Fashion Week set the tone for a new kind of bridal romance...one that’s modern, soft, and quietly glamorous. Mumbai-based Digital content creator Vaishali Jain, who experienced the shows firsthand, breaks down how the runways’ most talked-about trends are influencing the evolving language of wedding fashion.
“Paris felt like a celebration of femininity,” she observes, pointing to a palette of champagne golds, old rose, and pearl tones that defined many collections. Fabrics like silk organza, tulle, and sheer layering gave couture a weightless quality, perfect for the modern bride who wants movement without losing structure. The mood was all about restraint meeting radiance.
For Vaishali, these trends align beautifully with Indian wedding sensibilities. Brides today are embracing subtlety and are leaning towards fluid shapes, soft metallics, and tonal embroidery that feel global yet rooted. Even wedding guests, she adds, can draw from Paris’s refined aesthetic by mixing textures, tones, and contemporary silhouettes. Through her lens, Paris Fashion Week isn’t just a runway spectacle; it is a moodboard for modern celebrations built on elegance, ease, and timeless romance.
Manifest: Which colours, fabrics, or silhouettes from Paris Fashion Week do you see influencing upcoming bridal or bridesmaid trends?
Vaishali Jain: "Paris this season felt like a love letter to femininity. There was so much romance in the air. From soft metallics to dreamy pastels, and champagne golds and pearl tones, these colours really stood out. Fabrics like silk organza, tulle, and sheer layering were everywhere. The silhouettes were flowy yet structured, that effortless couture feel I think brides and bridesmaids will lean towards next season."
M: How can wedding guests adapt PFW-inspired looks to strike the right balance between festive and elegant?
VJ: "It’s all about modern minimalism with a celebratory twist. Wedding guests can take cues from Paris by mixing textures and tones. Consider draped saris with metallic blouses, pastel gowns with statement jewellery, or elegant co-ord sets with a hint of shimmer. Keep it refined, not loud—that’s the secret to looking both festive and elegant."
M: Which shows or presentations stood out to you most, and why?
VJ: "Both Georges Hobeika and Stéphane Rolland redefined what modern couture can feel like this year. Georges Hobeika’s show was an absolute delight. Truly, everything couture dreams are made of! The details, the movement, the silhouettes—every look felt like poetry in motion. And then Stéphane Rolland…honestly, it gave me goosebumps. It was one of the most artistic, emotion-filled shows I’ve ever witnessed. The drama, the sculptural gowns, the storytelling—it was pure art on the runway."
M: What were the standout styles, colours, or trends at PFW that could translate beautifully into wedding fashion?
VJ: "Statement capes, sculpted drapes, and 3D floral appliqué are definitely here to stay. I also noticed a lot of delicate pearl work and liquid metallics in subtle yet striking variations. Colour-wise, the mood was understated. Think old rose, ivory, and muted golds replacing traditional reds. These tones translate beautifully into the modern Indian wedding aesthetic."
M: Share with us your best tips for navigating PFW.
VJ: "Planning helps, but the real magic of Paris Fashion Week lies in being open to the unexpected. Comfort and confidence are key. Wear heels you can actually move in and look that feel authentically you. It’s not about attending every show, but about being fully present in the ones that truly move you. Paris has this beautiful energy...between the chaos, coffee runs, and creative buzz, you find little moments that stay with you forever."
