Shimmering Tulle And Diaphanous Chiffons Made For Dolly J’s ‘La Vie En Rose’ Collection

In a stunning setting at the Taj Palace, New Delhi,couturier Dolly Jdebuted her latest collection, La Vie en Rose. The showcase was a fairytale come true that paid homage to her reputed craftsmanship blended with her elegant bridal ensembles.

Bedecked with pink roses in the background, music filled the ambience as models showcased pastel tones replete with shimmer, feathers and tassels.

Presenting a fresh approach to her rich vintage embroideries, we saw her incorporating new forms of textiles, too, like a Prussian blue gown featuring chikankari replete with sequins, tassels and feathers.

Lehengas with corsets, off-shoulder gowns and pre-draped saris featuring thigh slits were seen in champagne, good old red, mauve and pastel pink tones.

We also spotted hues of blue, verdant green, Prussian blue and other colours adorned with delicate lace. This was all balanced and brought together with structured elements such as corsets.

The showstopperSonakshi Sinhawalked the ramp in a powder pink gown featuring crystals, tassels and sequins.
