Falguni Shane Peacock's Raj Mahal Bijoux collection at Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 is a regal tribute to India's royal heritage.

With its royal elegance and timeless opulence, ace designer Falguni Shane Peacock was once again back with the newest and one of the most iconic collections of all time, the Raj Mahal Bijoux. On the third day of Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, in association with Reliance brands, an initiative of FDCI, Falguni Shane Peacock, known for their form-grazing silhouettes in sheer fabric, turned the mood absolutely ‘royale’ with their palace carvings and lush gardens to emeralds, veils, and regal drapes.
Inspired by icons like the Laxmi Vilas Palace and Jaipur's City Palace, FSP’s newest collection, set against the backdrop of large courtyards with dazzling lights like stars brought to earth, embodied the aura of maharajas and maharanis as it reimagines royal heritage for the modern maharani. An ode to India's timeless grandeur and the artisans who keep its legacy alive, the brand has once again made a mark as it walked down the runway with not just fashion statements, but the royalty symbolised through sophistication.

Presented by Pearl Academy, the Raj Magal Bijoux by Falguni Shane Peacock was an ode to the modern bride and grooms, a reassurance that their royalty will never be lost to the world of fashion. With their new white bride, one of the many highlights of their Raj Mahal Bijoux, FSP made a bold statement, taking the elegance of the bridal attire a notch further and transcending the boundaries of colours that the Indian bridal ensembles have been restricted to over the centuries. While taking cues and meeting the Indian traditions halfway, this new collection sets a whole new mood to the modern bride’s bridal wardrobe and adds a little more charm to the groom’s ensemble.

Pairing the opulent white lehengas with Archana Aggarwal’s artful diamond pieces of jewellery, FSP has acknowledged that a modern Indian bride is no longer restricted by the colours- the reds, the pinks and even the nudes- it is a new generation and it is for the bold and fierce brides, who are the main characters-the Maharanis-who take their inspiration from the white bridal gowns of the west but like to give it an Indian touch to maintain the richness of their own culture and tradition.

With that said, the collection was not just all about the new white bride, but a wave of meticulously crafted heritage handlooms for the brides who love a little history and cultural significance in their bridal ensembles. With colours ranging from subtle blue to dirty white and baby pink, the bridal attire, as the models walked down the ramp from the royal setup of a lavish palace, reflected the brand’s commitment to weaving our heritage into their craftsmanship, setting them apart.

Last but not least, a reflection of the regality of the brand and its magnificent new collection, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar closed the show for Falguni Shane Peacock, and yes, he was a showstopper in every sense!
The star-studded evening turned extra special when the OG Khiladi took over the ramp. Dressed as an Indian prince in an ivory bandhgala paired with detailed embroidery and his black shades, the actor dropped jaws as he walked the ramp in style. His outfit, with a modern yet regal touch, was paired with white trousers and embellished shoes, making him look every bit the royalty that he is.

Powered by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), this year’s Hyundai India Couture Week 2025-held in association with Reliance Brands Ltd-will run through July 30, 2025.
