If you’re anything like us, chances are that you also can’t wait any longer to see what the FDCI India Couture Week has to offer this season. The crème de la crème of Indian couturiers will present their collections at the Hyundai India Couture Week 2024, in partnership with Reliance Brands, from 24th to 31st July at Taj Palace, New Delhi.
This highly anticipated week-long event is going to be a celebration of all things fashion. The 17th edition of the India Couture Week (ICW) will have 14 of India's biggest designers showcasing their collections. Big new update? The Fashion Design Council of India just announced who will be showcasing at the Grand Finale, and it's none other than *drumroll* Falguni Shane Peacock!
“FDCI is delighted to partner with Hyundai Motors India Ltd. for yet another year of India Couture Week. Our collaboration has been a thrilling journey of creativity and innovation. This year’s event will be even grander, with Falguni Shane Peacock as our closing show designer. The Hyundai India Couture Week 2024 at the Taj Palace is going to be a spectacular event," said Sunil Sethi, the Chairman of FDCI.
Given the opulent, larger-than-life and absolutely stunning nature of Falguni Shane’s designs, it’s safe to say that we’ll have to brace ourselves to be blown away.
Designers Falguni and Shane Peacock commented, “We are beyond excited to present our collection at Hyundai India Couture Week 2024. Drawing inspiration from India’s opulent heritage and mythology, our collection celebrates the grandeur of India’s cultural legacy with luxurious silks and intricate motifs. Collaborating with Swadesh, we’ve incorporated exquisite handcrafted fabrics into our designs, blending traditional inspiration with a modern twist. We can’t wait to showcase our culturally rich ensembles to you.”
That sounds exciting, to say the least, and we can’t wait to see what the ICW has in store for us.
