Take the plunge and embrace this beautiful trend, because life is too short to avoid stunning outfits out of fear of a wardrobe malfunction.

Women having to endure discomfort in pursuit of looking like a million bucks is a tale as old as time. Case in point: high heels, hair removal, corsets…the list is never-ending. One such practice is plunging necklines. While there's nothing about plunging necklines that causes physical pain or discomfort per se, they can feel very uncomfortable nonetheless given the high chance of wardrobe malfunctions. If I got a penny each time I saw a woman rocking her plunging neckline with zero inhibitions and discomfort, let's just say I would still be broke. This is such a shame because plunging necklines look lovely when worn correctly.

Needless to say, getting the fit right is crucial when wearing plunging necklines. Wearing something that’s either too loose or too tight is a guaranteed recipe for wardrobe malfunction. No styling tools can help when the fit is wrong. While wearing plunging necklines, the garment must fit you like a glove.
Picking the right undergarment for an outfit with a plunging neckline (or any outfit, really) can make or break the look. If your outfit has built-in cups, nothing like it. But if it doesn’t, we’re here to tell you what you can wear underneath in order to get a nice lift and avoid nip slips.
You can pick different types of bras depending on the neckline of your outfit. Most push-up plunge bras work well with a lot of outfits with medium plunging necklines, depending on the outfit, of course.
Silicone covers are great for a variety of plunging necklines. Adhesive silicone covers offer less support than bras, but are great for tricky outfits, since they provide the least coverage, hence avoiding a bra peekaboo moment. Off shoulder? Backless? Side boob outfits? Silicon covers are your answer.
Third on the list is boob tape, probably the best and the most convenient of all the options. If none of the undergarment options available in the market work for you, we suggest creating a custom shape with boob tapes. You can create a custom shape based on your outfit. You can decide how much coverage you want, and how much lift you want. No matter how tricky your outfit is or what body type is, boob tapes are the perfect solution. And contrary to popular belief, boob tapes also work well with larger bust sizes.

Now that you know what to wear underneath your plunging neckline, you need to style it well to make the most out of it. Remember to accessorize it just enough not to take away the attention from your beautiful neckline. You do not want to go overboard with the jewellery, but if you feel adding a nice choker will take away some focus off your neckline and that makes you feel a little more comfortable, by all means, go for it.
You know that feeling when you’re too conscious of your outfit and it ruins your mood and makes you feel underconfident? More often than not, it’s all in your head. So feel confident, stand tall, and do not overthink it. Needless to say, slouching is a big no-no with an outfit with a plunging neckline.
Pro-tip: Some outfits will require you to tape the edges of your garment to your body so the garment stays in its place. Fashion tapes come in handy for such situations. These thin double-sided tapes will stick to both the fabric and the skin helping the garment to stay put. With fashion tapes though, quality is the key. Fashion tapes with poor adhesive strength are an absolute nightmare.
Here’s hoping wearing plunging necklines doesn’t feel so daunting any more. Now that you’re better equipped for rocking them, get onto the deep neck bandwagon because they are too stunning to avoid!
