Rimzim Dadu Melds Memory and Metal at ICW 2025
The designer brought sculpted textiles, oxidised threads, and a future-facing take on tradition.

On Day 7 of Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, in association with Reliance Brands and presented by FDCI, Rimzim Dadu returned to the runway with her collection Oxynn, which brought together memory, metal, and movement together for the show. Inspired by Gujarat’s Banjara communities, the showcase drew from traditional techniques like Patola weaving and mirror work but reimagined them through sculptural shapes and industrial textures.
Known for her material-led innovation, Dadu leaned into metallic threads, custom textiles, and steel detailing to build garments that felt both rooted and experimental. The silhouettes were strong and structured, corded harem pants, sharp lehengas, sculpted blouses, held together by a palette of burnt copper, deep greens, and gunmetal.
The showcase featured exquisite jewellery from Jagat Jewels, known for their modern, timeless designs rooted in Indian heritage. Gursimran Chadha, founder of Jagat Jewels, shared, “We believe that jewellery is an extension of identity and artistry. Being part of Rimzim Dadu’s showcase allowed us to celebrate Indian craftsmanship in a modern light, a perfect complement to the strength and innovation of the collection.”

Khushi Kapoor walked as the showstopper, wearing a bralette-style blouse and high-waisted lehenga in Dadu’s signature metallic textile. The look, like the collection, balanced craftsmanship with edgy traditional forms recast through a futuristic lens.

True to Rimzim Dadu’s philosophy of “Modern Indian Refined,” Oxynn extends beyond bridal couture. It is a collection for both men and women, offering sharply tailored forms, sculptural drapes, and statement accessories crafted from the brand’s signature metal wires.

Her collection’s menswear pieces featured paisley motifs, reworked using corded surface techniques. Accessories drew from oxidised silver and mirror embellishments, styled to reflect the designer’s ongoing dialogue between heritage and modernity. Tassels, glinting finishes, and controlled volume ran throughout, tying the pieces together.
