What Indian celebration is ever complete without a little something sweet, and when it comes to weddings, mithais are the way to go, and Saugaat takes this sweet experience a notch further with their sweet gifting experience. A classic blend of mithai craftsmanship with global flavour profiles, Saugaat, meaning gift in Hindi, was launched by Renuka and Sanjay Aggarwal of the Bikanervala family.

Founded to cater to and serve the several millions of the ever-evolving global tastes of the modern Indian customer, Saugaat by Bikanervala is a curated-by-order-only gifting boutique. Rooted in generations of sweetcraft heritage, Saugaat creates bespoke recipes that are a blend of international flavours, but the ethos is undeniably traditional.

An experimental mithai label, Saugaat by the House of Bikanervala, has grown into an established supremacy in traditional Indian sweets and regional cuisine and serves more than just mithai but a blend of both innovation and tradition.

Its signature lies in its unique flavours, textures and its distinct combination of ingredients. Each bespoke delicacy comes carefully curated in boxes that make gifting an unforgettable experience through the art of packaging design.

A journey that started seven decades ago, when a family ventured out of their hometown, Bikaner to the city of Delhi, Saugaat represents the wisdom and taste of centuries of tradition in the form of rich Indian recipes. A passion project that reflects relentless perseverance for perfection, Saugaat is a land full of unique gifting experiences that one is sure to enjoy as they present them to the most special people in their lives.

Now led by Renuka Aggarwal herself, with the innovations in the test kitchen, Saugaat aims to change the way its customers define, consume and appreciate mithai through Renuka’s long-established cooking techniques married with her bold experiments with flavours and ingredients. “We started during a time when traditional sweet-making techniques were becoming extinct. So, we decided to imbibe a feeling of freshness into the already existing idea of Bikanervala, and that’s how the idea of Saugaat was born,” Renuka had shared in a previous interview with Manifest

Saugaat has now come out with a line of mithais that are not just delicious, but their packaging is beyond luxurious, with an incredible selection of sweets that are one of a kind. Strengthened by the trust of their customers that have gained over the years, Saugaat guarantees taste, panache, class, and everything meticulously packaged to suit your style.

“Saugaat is very different from Bikanervala. Bikanervala presents traditional recipes just as they are. Saugaat focuses on adding a modernised twist to the pre-existing version. While they may be making Ghewars, we focus on playing with flavours and our versions like Berry Blast Ghewar, Paan Ghewar, Tiramisu Ghewar, Mango Ghewar and Rose Malai Ghewar,” she had highlighted.

An idea bloomed from a deep sense of gifting loved ones, an experience that is cherished for life, Saugaat by Bikanervala has built a legacy ingrained in soulful, rich Indian tradition that raises the bar higher.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.

The fact that it comes with band, baaja and baraat — what's not to love? And that is the reason our first issue celebrates:
    THE NEW BRIDE.
