In Conversation with Manifest

Manifest:  What has your journey in the industry been like so far? Any standout moments or lessons along the way?

SHREE Jewellers: Our journey has been one of evolution and revolution of jewellery rooted in heritage. Founded by Mr. Anil Kumar, we have flourished from a family legacy in Hyderabad into a name synonymous with precision, innovation, and regal craftsmanship. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of creating landmark pieces for renowned individuals, heritage collectors and modern brides alike. A standout moment would undoubtedly be the unveiling of TREASURES by SHREE - it is timeless Indian opulence reimagined for the world stage. An unparalleled setting of ultra-luxury and glory to enshrine once-in-a-lifetime masterpieces.

M: What goes into the making of your beautiful jewellery pieces? Can you walk us through the craftsmanship behind them?

S: Every SHREE masterpiece is a labour of legacy. Our process begins with a story — a motif, a memory, a moment. From there, our master artisans, many of whom have worked with us for decades, bring it to life using centuries-old techniques of kundan setting, jadau inlay, meenakari enamelling, and hand-cut stonework, alongside cutting-edge innovation and technology contracted from around the globe. We work with the rarest and most ostentatious gemstones like Burmese Rubies, Ceylon Sapphires and Colombian Emeralds, each ethically sourced, each painstakingly placed. It is a dance of hand and heart, where no two pieces are ever truly the same.

M: In a space filled with talent and creativity, what do you believe sets your brand apart?

S: At SHREE, we don't just create jewellery — we create heirlooms. What sets us apart is our commitment to design integrity, cultural storytelling, and a gemstone-first philosophy that begins where nature ends. Unlike most, we design around the gemstone — each piece is imagined in response to the stone’s energy, cut, and soul. Many of our gemstones are custom-cut in-house, allowing us to achieve unparalleled harmony between form and material. We embrace restraint where others choose excess, and detail where others choose flash. Our aesthetic lies in refined opulence — heritage reimagined with a whisper of the contemporary. Furthermore, our multi-tiered quality control system is unique in the industry and ensures an extraordinary degree of reliability for our clients. That, paired with our bespoke approach and relentless pursuit of excellence, allows us to remain timeless yet intimately personal.

M: From your perspective, which trends are currently shaping the jewellery landscape, and how

are they evolving?

S: We’re entering an era of intentional luxury, where clients are investing in jewellery that carries

meaning, legacy, and emotional depth. This shift is fuelling a renewed appreciation for rare colorstones — pieces that feel one-of-a-kind, personal, and quietly powerful. Alongside this, there’s a growing reverence for fine craftsmanship: intricate handwork, custom detailing, and heritage techniques that honour the soul of the jewel. In India, this has sparked a powerful resurgence of culturally rooted forms — from the divine motifs of temple jewellery to the sculptural beauty of Nakshi craftsmanship in the South. What was once reserved for rituals is now making its way into modern bridal and occasion wear, reinterpreted with elegance and intention. At SHREE, we see this as more than a trend. It’s a return to jewellery as art, as ancestry, and as a deeply personal form of expression.

M: What can we expect from the label at the FDCI Manifest Wedding Weekend?

S: At FDCI Manifest Wedding Weekend, SHREE unveils a daring, limited-edition capsule collection designed exclusively for the occasion. Maximalist in spirit and courageous in form, the collection reflects a jewellery house unafraid to experiment, where emotion becomes embellishment and boldness is worn like armour. However, the soul of SHREE extends beyond. There is INARI, our world of rare, once-in-a-lifetime colorstones — curated with reverence, each gem dictating the design, never the reverse. MERAKI, where uncut diamonds and polki are transformed through labour-intensive, near-forgotten craftsmanship, revealing jewellery as sacred architecture. And AIRAVAT, our gold-led homage to India’s elephant lore — a quiet meditation on cultural memory, ecological consciousness, and the enduring strength of symbolism. Together, they form the universe Shree inhabits — where heritage is honoured, but never repeated.
