From the iconic Serpenti to its distinctive play of vibrant colours and gemstones, Bvlgari’s creations are designed for women who embrace individuality, confidence, and elegance. Therefore, it’s not surprising that the Italian brand finds favour with the modern bride, who wants a watch that transcends time and moves beyond the realm of a wedding gift. Defined by an eduring aesthetic, impeccable craftsmanship, and a legacy steeped in Roman heritage, it becomes a future heirloom, which marks milestones as it is passed down from one generation to the other. And the latest novelties at the LVMH Watch Week bear testament to this. The brand has been upping the ante on its watchmaking game by consistently churning out some of the finest timekeepers that showcase its mastery in the art of horological precision.

The Maison has launched four new timepieces that adhere to its haute horlogerie ethos by revamping its signature icons—Monete, Tubogas, Serpenti and Lvcea— crafted for the modern connoisseur. The Maglia Milanese Monete in rose gold showcases the traditional art of Milanese mesh; the Tubogas Manchette, a yellow-gold cuff accented with gemstones, is defined by seventies-inspired geometry; the Serpenti Seduttori Automatic features a new dial and bracelet; and the poetic Lvcea Notte di Luce dials are rendered in the ancient Urushi technique. These unique timekeepers are suited to brides with different design sensibilities while offering a statement piece that is a work of art on the wrist.

The Maglia Milanese Monete secret watch revisits Monete, a collection first introduced in the mid-1960s. It features an outer flap with an octagonal bezel, adorned with an authentic ancient coin from 198–297 AD, depicting Emperor Caracalla, which flips open to reveal the dial in white mother-of-pearl, set with 12 diamond hour markers. This model is presented on a rose-gold Milanese bracelet—a first for Bvlgari. Formed from finely interlaced gold threads developed by Renaissance-era Milanese goldsmiths, the mesh bracelet imparts unparalleled sophistication. The Tubogas Manchette doubles up as a solid cuff, while also serving as a timepiece. Its geometry is inspired by their archival piece from the 1970s, which has sealed its place as an important pillar in the brand’s portfolio ever since. Crafted from 18-karat solid yellow gold, the new watch wraps around the wrist and showcases a fully paved diamond-encrusted dial and bezel. This jewelled detailing also extends throughout the coiled bracelet, interspersed with a bouquet of gemstones consisting of spessartites, citrines, rubellites, and peridots—making it a versatile timepiece.

The Serpenti needs no introduction. The most distinctive timepiece from Bvlgari now comes with a beautiful Malachite dial, framed by a rose-gold case. The bezel is set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds, with another variation available where 117 diamonds extend to the Seduttori bracelet.

Introduced in 2014, Lvcea is an emblem of femininity, which combines horological finesse with precision. The two new models, crafted in steel and rose gold, showcase lacquered dials created using the Urushi technique—a traditional Japanese art of lacquer. This is paired with mother-of-pearl fragments to form a mosaic pattern, where each dial is meticulously crafted over a period of two months, which explains why these are limited to just 80 pieces. These watches are scripting a new chapter for Bvlgari, which celebrates its watchmaking prowess and artistic savoir-faire through constant reinvention.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.
