Unless you have been living under a rock, you must know that theFDCI x Lakmé Fashion Weekis all set to kick off tonight with thePéro showcase. All the fashion that awaits us at this weeklong celebration of creativity has our inner fashion enthusiasts all stoked up.

For the unversed, this edition of Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI is happening from 9th-13th October at The Grand, New Delhi. Here’s what you can expect from the FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week this season.

What To Expect From FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week 2024

Lots of inspiration for the fashion girlies

Fashion lovers can expect LOTS of major inspiration this season. Péro will showcase at the opening show this season, which will be a collaboration with Hello Kitty. As Hello Kitty celebrates 50 years and Péro marks 15 years, these two brands collaborate for what is anticipated to be a very special collection. If Péro’s past shows at the Lakme Fashion Week are anything to go by, this one should be a spectacular show. Fashion girls can also expect some great looks from Kanika Goyal Label and Dhruv Kapoor.

    Great menswear

Antar Agni by Ujjwal Dubeyhas us forever gushing about their beautiful silhouettes, which are somehow both dressed up and chilled out, and that’s what we are expecting from Antar Agni’s collection titled ‘Two-faced’. Men should expect lots of inspiration from this collection, in terms of fabrics, silhouettes and even styling. The looks are going to have major styling inspo for men. We called it!

Other designers that men can expect lots of inspiration from areAbraham & Thakore, Vikram Bajaj, Countrymade, Line Outline, Tisa Studio, Pawan Sachdeva…it’s a long list! Dear men, keep an eye out for some major trends.

    Playlist upgrade

Gone are the days when fashion weeks were only about great clothes. Now we look forward to cool runway set-ups, diverse model casting and of course, great music. Music in fashion shows are having a moment, with Kunal Rawal last year, and Abu Sandeep earlier this year giving us full-fledged playlists of songs by Akshay & IP to vibe on. So, it’s safe to say that we expect some great additions to our Spotify playlists.

Interesting looks for brides-to-be (and serial wedding attendees)

Dear soon-to-be brides, be ready to bookmark some looks for your pre-wedding festivities. With designers like Rishi Vibhuti, Ashdeen, Awigna, Kalki, Megha Bansal,Punit Balana,Payal Singhalshowcasing, this season is sure to have a plethora of looks for brides to be.

Showcases that reiterate the fact that sustainability does not have to be boring

If you are a slow fashion girlie (which all of us should be, btw), this season has a great lineup of sustainable brands that are just as stylish. With brands like Ananya-The Label, Saldon 2112, 11.11/eleven eleven, and Ek Katha showcasing, this season of LFW has something for everyone, even lovers of sustainable fashion. We are particularly excited for theshowcase of Til by Ankur Verma, the winner of this season’s NEXA The Spotlight.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.

Putting together a homegrown title at a time when the demise of print has been long announced may seem surprising...
...but it has long been a dream of mine to give India a magazine it deserves. A magazine that is the country.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, represents India more than our weddings. It is a time when families are brought together. Traditions come alive as they are adapted to each couple's beliefs. And lives are joined in a way that the romantic in me still enjoys.

The fact that it comes with band, baaja and baraat — what's not to love? And that is the reason our first issue celebrates:
    THE NEW BRIDE.
