Inspired by Jaipur’s five-hued Pachranga flag, Tribe Amrapali xThe Palace Atelier collaboration transforms royal symbolism into jewellery for the modern collector.

When two Jaipur-born houses collaborate, it feels less like a partnership and more like a return home. Tribe Amrapali and The Palace Atelier have joined forces to celebrate their shared roots through a new jewellery line, Pachranga. The collection takes its cue from Jaipur’s five-coloured royal flag, a 16th-century emblem that continues to fly over the City Palace. Translating this historic symbol into contemporary design, the collaboration explores what it means to preserve heritage in a modern wearable form.

The Pachranga flag, first adopted in 1585 by Raja Man Singh I, was designed with five stripes, which represent the natural elements of earth, air, water, fire, and space and define the kingdom’s ethos.
“Pachranga is a story that needed to be retold, celebrated, and reinterpreted for today. Collaborating with The Palace Atelier allows us to carry Jaipur’s heritage forward in a way that feels modern, versatile, and accessible,” says Akanksha Arora, CEO of Tribe Amrapali.

The partnership merges the precision of Tribe’s artisanship with The Palace Atelier’s sensibility for culture and design, led by Princess Gauravi Kumari. Together, they reinterpret motifs once tied to royalty for a new generation of collectors.
Across the collection, the artistry draws from motifs ingrained in the royal insignia and the architecture of the City Palace. The jewellery line includes statement necklaces, ornate earrings, bracelets, and rings, all featuring motifs emblematic of Jaipur’s regal identity, from arches to sun emblems and lotus motifs, they are pared down into minimalist forms.

The collections’ jewels are crafted using techniques that celebrate Jaipur’s craftsmanship, such as hand engraving, repoussé-style detailing, intricate stone setting, enamelling, and thread work.
For Princess Gauravi Kumari, the connection is personal. “The Pachranga flag is an integral part of Jaipur’s story, and its colours belong to all who call this city home. With this collection, we have recontextualised Jaipur’s spirit into designs that are rooted in our heritage while speaking to today. This collection is for everyone who carries Jaipur in their heart, wherever they may be.”
