A fan took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their investigation into the ring. The post showed Taylor Swift’s ring next to a shot of a similar infinity ring with a screenshot of a Google search showing the meaning of an infinity ring. “They signify devotion or ‘promise’ of a future engagement,” reads the screenshot.
While many Swifties pointed out that Taylor has worn the infinity symbol multiple times, both on and off stage, and this could mean nothing, it’s worth noting that the singer rarely does anything without well-thought-out intent. It’s also telling that Taylor Swift held her hand at a particular angle, seemingly to make a big show of the hand with the ring.

The symbol of infinity, the sideways figure eight, has existed throughout history in many shapes and forms, from ancient Egypt to Greece, to the Celtic and Nordic cultures.
