Scroll through Instagram, and you’ll spot that celebrities are kinda over minimal glam. Slowly bold, graphic liner to soft, smudged kohl is coming back. Case in point: Sanya Malhotra’s latest make-up look.
This time the focus is eyes, and it looks like it will be trending in 2025 too. To prove this, many brands are also launching colourful eyeliners and mascaras.
Sanya took the traditional route with sultry, smokey eyes. It has a classic appeal, and nothing can beat it. The actor paired her look with a sleek bun which was wrapped in gajra. Finished with a sharp wing, there was also a small bindi and a nude lip, which tied everything together.
Ahead check out how to get the look in a few easy steps.
Begin with a smooth canvas. Apply a hydrating moisturiser like the Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb. Massage it well and follow it up with a blurring primer.
Since it is a soft matte base, apply a foundation which is hydrating yet has a slightly blurring effect. Apply a thin layer to ensure it looks skin-like.
Cover any pigmentation with a concealer and set your base under the eyes, smile lines and forehead.
Use a creamy bronzer to bring back dimension, and then apply a peachy nude blush like Kiro's Wonder Wand Multi-stick. Blend it seamlessly.
Now comes the main deal, i.e. the eyes. Begin with a wash of colour using a fluffy eyeshadow blending brush. Take the warm brown colour from the Praush Beauty The Showstopper Eyeshadow Palette.
Take a black kohl like Color Chemistry's Organic Kajal Pencil in the shade Raven and lightly line your waterline above and below. Smudge it using a dense brush. If the pigment is not coming through, lightly use the black shade from the eyeshadow palette.
Once you have blended the warm brown colour with the kohl, apply a generous dose of mascara to finish the look.
Lastly, add a peachy nude lip shade and set it with a make-up fixer. Add a gajra and a bindi and you're good to go!
