Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla just hosted a grand showcase to celebrate 40 years of being in the industry, and to commemorate the opening of ‘Mubarak Baug’, their palatial new store in Mumbai. The evening was an extension of everything that the brand stands for—drama, grandeur, and maximalism. Here are the most noteworthy looks from the evening, ICYMI.

The Best Dressed At Abu Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's 40 Years Celebration

Dimple Kapadia

Dimple Kapadia served what was arguably the most exquisite look of the evening. She opted for a beautiful cream-coloured sari with colourful, intricate embroidery all over it. The drape was paired with a matching long cape, with motifs like flowers, vines, and paisley. We particularly loved how she draped the sari—instead of the classic Nivi style and draping the pallu over the left shoulder, she brought the pallu from the back to the front over her right shoulder. The Bollywood star completed the look with minimal make-up, her signature blowout, and a multi-layered pearl and diamond necklace.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam’s look was both regal and understated. She opted for an ivory chikankari anarkali paired with double dupattas. She styled the look with minimal make-up. middle-parted hair, a pair of statement kaunati danglers, and a cocktail ring. Her heart-shaped earrings with tassels are our favourite part about the look, ngl!

Nita Ambani

Nita Ambani went for a plain deep maroon sari with a geometrical border, paired with a full-sleeved blouse covered in similar geometrical motifs. For the jewellery, she kept it minimal (her version of minimal, anyway) with a necklace with a pear-cut diamond, a pair of matching earcuffs with pear-cut diamonds, and a chunky diamond ring. She completed the look with fresh, dewy make-up and side-parted soft curls.

Navya Naveli Nanda

Navya Naveli Nanda opted for an OTT gold mini dress which felt dramatic yet effortless. We particularly loved the fishscale pattern on the skirt. She styled the look with minimal make-up, side parted hair, embellished ombré pumps, and almost no jewellery.

Rahul Dev

Rahul Dev’s cropped, boxy, embroidered jacket, paired with velvet pants was reminiscent of a matador’s costume. The look was sharp, fun, and very sexy. But then again, he could show up in a sack and still manage to look good!

Genelia Deshmukh

Genelia Deshmukh should get a lot more credit for her sartorial choices than she’s given. While this kurta on Genelia is quite ethereal in itself, she takes it up several notches by styling it with a long braid, adorned with a jada patti (braid jewellery) and gajra. She further elevates the look with a pair of huge statement danglers. Love!

Kusha Kapila

Kusha Kapila showed up in a stunning archival look from 2010. Her beautiful backless gown featured a plunging neckline, a long train, little buttons in the front, and colourful embroidery all over it. She styled the look with a choker, a pair of big studs, cocktail rings, and a haath phool. She teamed that with dewy make-up and a messy, middle-parted braid.
