Impeccable Tailoring And Great Music Reign Supreme At Kunal Rawal’s Hyundai ICW Showcase
Kunal Rawal proved yet again that nobody does it like him...
Kunal Rawal’s ICW collection ‘Sehra’ was inspired by good omens of the traditions of an Indian wedding. It is an ode to the luxury and traditions of an Indian Wedding.
Last year, the music at Kunal Rawal’s ICW show was to die for. So naturally, expectations were high on that front this time around as well. And Kunal Rawal did not disappoint. The music included upbeat yet soulful Punjabi songs. It set a beautiful vibe. You just had to be there.
The decor was inspired by the wilderness with lots of greenery on the runway.
Kunal Rawal’s non-conformist approach was apparent in the way certain looks were styled as well. A couple of models had a long trail of roses hanging on the top of their back, going all the way down to the floor.
A couple of male (and female) models were wearing what looked like the traditionalsehra. One model was holding aRaman Divo,(going back to the good omens and traditions of an Indian wedding).

Kunal Rawal is also known for the diverse casting in his shows, and this show was no different. Sikh models, older models, and models with real body types were a part of this spectacular show.
The varied colour palettes, intricate embroideries, the crafts of Bandhani, threadwork, and Ikat were seen on the outfits. Kunal Rawal’s signature French knots were also featured.
Female models were seen wearing strong androgynous looks. The lehengas and saris also had a certain sharp and strong aesthetic.

Anaita Shroff Adajania was seen wearing a strong yet beautiful black and metallic attire, and she looked stunning, to say the least.

The show was closed by Aditya Roy Kapoor, wearing a blue sherwani and black dhoti pants. To say that he looked divine is mildly putting it.
