The designer’s ‘Art Of Eternity’ brought French Romanticism to the runway and we’re here for it!
The second day of Hyundai India Couture Week 2024 kicked off with a showcase by Roseroom by Isha Jajodia. Established in 2014, the brand has carved a niche for itself over the decade by breaking the clutter surrounding bridal wear and trousseau choices. The label’s ICW showcase drove this home.
‘Art of Eternity’ by Isha Jajodia’s Roseroom was inspired by French architecture and there was no room for missing the influence of French Romanticism in the collection.
The runway was decked in white decor elements, with strains of ‘La Vie en rose’ serenading Ridhima Kapoor Sahni as she opened the show, followed by models decked in lace and tulle.
The designer married the art of chikankari with modern bridal silhouettes to present a collection that would satisfy the modern-day bride who is in touch with her roots but wants a touch of whimsy in her trousseau.
In a pre-show statement, the designer had described the collection as “a dance of elegance, grace and bold”, and the unabashedly romantic and hyperfeminine silhouettes layered with flowing capes, juxtaposed by the structure of corsets were a testament to her words.
Jacqueline Fernandez turned showstopper for the night. The actress wore a black lace gown with a flowing cape, overlayed with lace surface embellishments, a win for brides who want to ditch traditional colour palettes in favour of something darkly glamorous for their pre-wedding festivities.
Bookmark this collection if you love romance with a touch of drama in your style choices!
