Here's everything we loved about Mishru's latest showcase...
With the backdrop of the architectural marvel of the Embassy of Belgium in New Delhi, the Hyderabad-based design house — Mishru by Swapna Anumolu showcased its latest Couture Collection, ‘Resonance, 2025’.
A perfect mishru (meaning mix, in colloquial Gujarati) of Indian craftsmanship and culture, the collection draws inspiration from architecture and botanical elements with a unique blend of design language and emotions conveyed through material, motifs and symbols.
With Nida Merchant jazzing the evening and Sahil Vasudeva on piano, the music seamlessly complemented the showcase.
The collection traversed from classic to contemporary designs, we spotted structured lehengas, corsets and off-shoulder blouses, larger-than-life jumpsuits and cocktail dresses with puffy sleeves on the runway.
With the meticulous signature 3D embroidery, the brand also introduced a groundbreaking meta-layering of foliage within foliage technique, creating a captivating visual impact on ensembles. Resonance 2024/2025 showcased a vibrant palette that transitioned from white bridal couture to deep sapphires. We could also spot a pop of purple, hot pink, romantic pastels and earthy blacks.
The showstopper for the show was Shraddha Kapoor, who wore a beautiful white hand-embroidered lehenga with French knots, floral motifs, and delicate 3D embroidery. We’re already in our white bride era, and Shraddha in this beautiful white outfit only makes us love it more!
