Shivan & Narresh just showcased their new collection, Couture Series IV. And while we do love an opulent, traditional Indian wedding, this collection makes a strong case for the fun beach wedding.

Their signature sexy, fun aesthetic was on full display. The collection had lots of sheer. There were a bunch of embellished sheer gowns, pants, skirts, and even saris that were perfect for a beach wedding party. Another cute trend spotted was the micro bralette.

While the women’s looks mostly had stuff like sexy sheer saris and risqué bralettes, we also saw a couple of traditional saris and lehengas for the brides who like to take the conventional route.

The collection had a varied colour palette. The initial looks were all grey, then pastel pink, red, black, and a bunch of looks with green and yellow.

If there’s one thing we’ve noticed this season, it’s that brands are willing to experiment a lot more with menswear. At Shivan & Narresh as well, the menswear looks quite strong (and fun). With embellished sheer vests, embellished kurtas paired with matching skirts, chic pink co-ord sets, cute mini bags and mesh shirts, men’s looks were a cut above. One look that stood out, in particular, was a co-ord set made with long panels of fabric held together with pipe beads.

All in all, if you’re a fun, sexy, edgy bride (and groom)  and wish to steer away from conventional, traditional aesthetics, this collection is for you.
