Designer Tarun Tahiliani has entered a new era and we're totally here for it!
Veteran designer Tarun Tahiliani closed Day 4 at the Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI and in association with NEXA. He showcased his much-awaited debut luxury pret collection ‘OTT’. The collection sought to present a future-forward appeal retaining the Indian soul. And with the recent showcase, the designer once again proved whether it is 1994 or 2024, his eponymous label is always going to stay relevant!
Taking forward the sentiment that luxury is something that is felt on the skin, the collection presented rich fabrics with his signature draping techniques and styling on the runway. The designer managed to give Indian heritage silhouettes a contemporary twist. He turned saris, dhotis, jamas, chogas, frashis, and phirans into trench coats, capes, pants, western skirts and gilets.
We could not help but notice models adorning sleek waist belts giving structure to the fit, royal neck scarf, leather corset belt and handbags on the runway. The colour palette is inspired by iconic NEXA shades of deep blue and metallics.
Actress and newly-minted bride Aditi Rao Hydari closed the show in a deep blue bodice and wrapped skirt, with drapes deliberately positioned for a flowing silhouette.
It would make an addition to your trousseau or the upcoming festive season. So if you are someone who likes elevated classics, this collection is for you!
