That’s it. We’re swapping our entire wardrobe for dark colours cool silhouettes.

The Sustainable Day of theFDCI X Lakmé Fashion Weeksaw some beautiful showcases, one of them being the Antar-Agni showcase. Antar-Agni’s collection ‘Two-Faced’ addressed the complexities within each individual. It was all about embracing the duality within us. It explores a balance of contrasts—structure and fluidity, minimalism and ornamentation, tradition and innovation. It talks about the faces we wear and the roles we play.
In a conversation withManifest, the genius behind the Antar-Agni, Ujjawal Dubey, takes us through the inspiration behind ‘Two-Faced’. "The collection was born from introspection, inspired by the contradictions that define us as people. It's a collection that looks inwards in search of duality inside us, bringing opposite elements together. The collection depicts the human journey through three aspects, each of them explaining a different approach toward self-expression.”
The collection conveyed three expressions: Render, Wander, and Surrender. Render addresses the act of polishing oneself to present an image to the world. This part of the show features structured silhouettes and western cuts, including three-piece sets, long trench coats, and multi-layered looks. The style of this segment was very much within the Antar-Agni aesthetic. The second chapter was Wander, which was all about minimalism. This segment features drapes and wrap-ons, representingmonastic simplicity. This segment had the models walking barefoot, conveying detachment from material desires. The third chapter was Surrender, which was a representation of Antar Agni’s search for fearless expression. This segment features lots of adornments. It also includes intricate accessories and headpieces.

The show was divided into these chapters, and everything from the clothes to the body language of the models conveyed the mood of their respective chapters. Models conveyed these chapters through gestures like laughing, wandering, looking lost, etc., which added to the drama. With such a complex and dark theme, even the music of the show was a little ominous and eerie, which complemented everything beautifully.
"In 'Two-Faced', we're not just presenting garments; we're offering a mirror to the soul. It's about embracing our contradictions and finding beauty in our complexity. This collection is our way of saying it's okay to be multifaceted—in fact, it's what makes us beautifully human." says the designer.
We saw some beautiful silhouettes across all three chapters, and the colour palette of the collection included charcoal, black, aubergine and forest green. Dear reader, if you’re a man who likes his festive looks subtle yet strong, this is just the collection for you. If you’re a woman, there are a bunch of menswear looks to steal from this collection, that will look stunning on you. Having said that, the womenswear was just as cool.

What we also loved apart from the beautiful clothes was the casting of the show. The show had some really interesting models, including older models, models with dreadlocks and shorter models. You know we love a diverse casting!

Dear men, this collection just gave you a bunch of really cool festive looks to choose from. Can we please see you swap your basic kurtas for some chic Antar-Agni looks this Diwali?
