Live Wedding Painting has been a staple of weddings in the west since the ancient times. Pexels

In the age of on-the-spot printable wedding photography pictures and instantly generated social media reels, live paintings have emerged as a novel idea to capture the emotions at your wedding beautifully.

“People have started to realise the effort and skill that goes behind creating a painting,” says painter Vivek Wagh, who painted Prajakta Koli and Vrishank Khannal’s wedding ceremony. The little details in mannerisms and facial structures of people are something that can be highlighted only through the language of art and colours. During Prajakta’s wedding, we noticed that the groom (Vrishank) is a very fun-loving person, something that we don't get to see on social media, nor can we make it out through photographs. So, in our painting, we put out the fun side of Vrishank, which people usually get to see. When we unveiled the painting, everyone at the venue was moved to tears. Even after the festivities ended, Prajakta’s father called us up and thanked us wholeheartedly for the efforts that we put forward,” he recollects.

For Manifest to become one of Cambridge Dictionary's most viewed words of 2024 — 1,30,000 hits and counting — it means some of us must have Googled it at least once. I know, I hit that search button over and over again
because each time I looked at it, I saw a new meaning.
