Meet the brain behind luxurious lehengas, saris, and dresses that remind you of the bygone era...

A scroll through Sunaina Khera’s Instagram feed will convince you that her ensembles are just enough to break the mould of tradition effortlessly. The Delhi-based designer specialises in three main categories—saris, lehengas, and dresses to make you feel like a million bucks.
Playing her muse, you’ll see a careful curation of 3D embroidered saris and lehengas, sprightly hued organza and sequins peppered across her collection. “The journey began with a simple vision: to create modern heirlooms that resonate with brides who value artistry and authenticity,” says Sunaina.
Her designs are minimal but don’t mistake them for basic offerings—every piece is a conversation starter. The homegrown western and bridal label combines its special handmade artistry with comfort. “While many brands focus on grandiose designs, we prioritise pieces that feel like an extension of the bride’s personality. We work closely with our clients, ensuring every design reflects their individuality while staying functional and comfortable,” she adds.

While you are reading this, perhaps, a good question to ask yourself is if you can wear a Sunaina Khera as a bride-to-be or even as her guest. The simple answer to this would be a big yes, especially if you’re big on florals. Sunaina takes the classic motif a notch higher with sculptural 3D florals. Think: origami-like florals recurring throughout the silhouette. So you don’t need to worry about any Miranda Priestly-wannabes turning up their nose at your preference for florals for Spring, after all!

From statement floral prints to dopamine hues, Sunaina mainly plays with fabrics such as silk, organza, silk crepe, and chiffon to bring about floaty lehengas, dresses, and blouses with romantic energy.

For a dressier finish, you will also spot a sexy feather black sari that you can pair with dainty diamond teardrop earrings. The designer also customises pieces not just for you but also for the bridesmaids. “We also offer a curated range of light festive wear for smaller, intimate functions, a need I recognised while planning my wedding. Our designs are more than just outfits—they’re memories in the making,” shares Sunaina.

Her latest collection called ‘Dil Se’ consists of saris and lehengas in hues of cream, soft peach, bridal red peppered with 3D floral appliques, crystals and tassels. You will also spot her favourite kind of neckline such as off-shoulder, petal-shaped that flatter the majority of Indian women. “It’s a love letter to brides who want their outfits to be as memorable as their big day. We focused on intricate hand embroidery, delicate 3D flowers, and a balance of tradition with a contemporary edge. The collection featured versatile pieces, from lightweight lehengas perfect for twirling at a mehendi to elegant saris designed for intimate ceremonies. and even cocktail parties.”
She adds, “Brides love our structured blouses, especially full-sleeved options for winter weddings, and our corset-inspired cholis for a modern aesthetic touch. We’re also known for versatile pieces—whether it’s a lehenga with movement-friendly designs or an elegant sari that works beautifully for both traditional and intimate celebrations We have something for everyone.”

For her wedding in 2023, Sunaina naturally wore one of her creations. The deep red lehenga set was embroidered all over with threads, beads, and sequins. It featured a Queen Anne neckline and the monotone lehenga was styled with a matching double dupatta, silverkaleereand diamond necklace. “My lehenga was hand-embroidered with floral motifs, lightweight, and monotone. My veil had custom embroidery that holds a special place in my heart,” she adds.
Making for a minimalist bride herself, she recommends “For a minimalist bride, our 3D flower sari in ivory or red is the perfect choice. It’s elegant, timeless, and makes a statement without being overpowering. While, for a maximalist bride, I’d recommend one of our signature hand-embroidered lehengas featuring a lace organza skirt with a dramatic trail, paired with both a dupatta and a veil. It’s the ultimate ensemble for a bride who wants to embrace all the grandeur and theatrics of her big day.”
“Our brand is for brides who want to look effortlessly stunning while staying true to their style. If you’re someone who values intricate craftsmanship, enjoys minimal yet striking designs, and prioritizes comfort, you’ll find your dream outfit with us. We cater to modern, confident brides who love a mix of tradition and contemporary flair,” Sunaina ends.
