Jaipur’s Pink City Has a New Place to Book This Valentine’s Week

If you’re still figuring out what to do for Valentine’s Day, Jaipur has made it easier for you. The city’s historic facades and beautiful landscapes have never been short on places to go out. Although a new addition, Dupion, introduces an intimate nocturnal room where the drink leads the evening, it’s one to keep in mind as Valentine’s plans start to take shape.

Named after Dupion silk, prized for its raw texture and historic ties to the city’s trading past, the space follows the same idea of depth over display. The place is rooted in classical techniques of house infusions, fermentations, clarifications and precise dilution. 

Drawing from the ancient Silk Route, teas, spices, botanicals, florals and dried fruits are interpreted into cocktails that unfold gradually, revealing structure and balance before you even take a sip! The bar programme is curated by Jeet Rana, who is known for his ingredient-driven approach and Indian-inflected flavours. 

The experience stays focused on flavour and progression. You notice temperature, weight and finish first, with ingredients appearing in stages across the palate. The food is developed alongside the drinks, with small plates designed to echo or sharpen notes within the cocktails so the pairing feels continuous. 

The idea behind the space is simply to let the craft speak for itself. The room doesn’t try to impress immediately, but it earns familiarity over the course of the evening. “We wanted to create something exceptional for Jaipur - an experience shaped by care, technique, and atmosphere,” say Aziz & Shokat Panwar, Co-owners, Dupion. “Dupion is built for guests who understand the patience behind fermentation, the discipline of dilution, and the difference a few seconds can make at the bar. The interiors echo this restraint with warm silk textures, softened lighting and tactile details that draw you closer. Dupion opens its doors to Jaipur, giving the city a place to unwind evenings that deserve time, attention, and a well-made drink.
