    Indo-Fusion Restaurants In The Capital

    Ziya at The Oberoi

Helmed by Michelin-star chef Vineet Bhatia, Ziya at The Oberoi, Gurugram is a vibe meant for your next date night. The walls here are adorned and feature coordinated patterns which are soothing to look at. While the chevron tiles on the floor with futuristic furniture will have your attention. We recommend the chicken bonda lollipops and the delish mutton ghee roast with Malabar parotta. Unravel the evening with drinks like jamun ras and paan royale. And if you have more space in your tummy then do try the Chandni Samosa Chaat.

    Staple Bar and Bistro

This is a newly-opened contemporary Indian fusion restaurant that will tantalise taste. Led by chef Sangram Samra, the place has muted interiors with a cosy rooftop perfect for afternoon brunches during winter. For starters, try the guacamole and papad and follow it up with Rajma seekh kebab which will melt in your mouth. And for vegetarians, if you’re wondering whether you’ll be able to ever know how Haleem tastes, then chef Sangram has your back with his Kathal Haleem made out of jackfruit. For dessert, we recommend the Kalakand Khurchan which has just the right hint of sweetness for you to relish.

Address: M Block Market, Greater Kailash 2, New Delhi

    Comorin

Retro decor covers the expansive space of Comorin and the moment you’ll enter the restaurant you’ll be transported to the ‘80s. The cosy familiarity pairs well with the experimental menu that has been crafted carefully. Indulge in gluttony with dishes like the good ol’ Haleem. which has been slow-cooked to perfection. Their Andhra Gongura Chicken which is equal parts tangy and spicy is also one you must try. For the Vegetarians crunchy Dry Moong Dal salad will pair well with the cocktails and oh and if you find khichdi to be a dish meant for those who are down with the flu, let Comorin’s Sweet Corn Khichdi convince you otherwise.

Address: 101, First Floor, Two Horizon Center, DLF Phase 5, Sector 43, Gurugram

    Indian Accent

Situated in the Lodhi Hotel, Indian Accent tops our list for all the right reasons. Recently, it marked its 15th anniversary. The interiors are cosy and warm, but it is hard to pick a favourite dish… Every dish here is yummy and has a story to tell. However, if you have to play it safe then we suggest you call the restaurants and make a reservation to try the chef’s menu or the four-course menu in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian variants. It’ll leave you wanting for more!

Request for Chaat Sampler which features Dilli Ki Palak Patta Chaat, Agra Ke Chowk Ki Tikki, and Benaras Ki Tamatar Chaat. Heavy choice but do pair it with Lassi Margharita. Wondering how that would taste? Do visit!

    Inja

Inja is the marriage between Japanese and Indian cuisine. It is the brainchild of chef Adwait Anantwar and has been thoughtfully curated. We aren’t talking about chicken tikka sushi here but food that’s tasty in the most unlikely, good way. Think Papad and Aachar Okinamasu which is fermented mango achaar served with mushroom, rice papad and seabass tartare. There is also gobhi 65 maki—a sushi-style take on India’s much-loved chicken 65 with cauliflower tempura. Crazy isn’t it? We recommend you enjoy the food with a side of lychee gondhoraj martini.
